A voice that works well and effectively communicates words is a beautiful thing. Learn the basics of vocal anatomy and function, along with diction (intro. to the International Phonetic Alphabet), and have a better understanding of how the voice works!

Dispelling Vocal Myths
In this interactive, discussion-based workshop, Erin invites singers to challenge what they think they know about the voice. Statements such as "sing from the diaphragm" the idea of the "belly breath" or that drinking tea will "make your voice better" are debunked as the singers explore vocal physiology and anatomy.

As an experienced soloist and choral tenor, Jonathan Pilkington knows the joys & challenges of being a tenor, as well as how to tame the beast.
